What is the difference between a stainless steel fan and a duct fan?

Time:2022-06-13    Edit by Sanyue Precision Electromechanical Co.,Ltd

The definition of Volkswagen is very broad, there are many types, and the functional characteristics are also very unique. It is often seen that there are regulations on the composition of mechanical smoke exhaust systems, stainless steel fans, exhaust fans, and air supply fans in high standards. What is the difference between a stainless steel fan and a duct fan? Dongguan Sanyue Precision Electromechanical Co., Ltd. is a technology-based enterprise focusing on the research and development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales service of various specifications of centrifugal fans, centrifugal fans, duct fans, high-pressure blowers and other series of pneumatic products. Passed CE\FCC\ROHS and other certifications, contact number: 0769-88811878.

1. Different working methods:

The exhaust fan is mainly used to remove the high-temperature flue gas generated in the process of smelting, cooking and fire, and create breathing space for indoor personnel. The main function of the duct blower is to deliver the gas to the designated location, usually in some escape areas, such as stairs. The high pressure of the duct blower prevents the fumes from spreading here.

2. The installation location is different:

Stainless steel (stainless acid-resistant steel) fans are mainly used for exhaust pipes. Duct fans are mainly used in escape corridors in areas of high fire risk. Fire protection systems are mostly used in basements, large shopping malls, super large fire areas, super long corridors, and mechanical smoke prevention systems where natural smoke prevention cannot meet the needs. Ducted air supply is mainly used for smoke-proof staircases and shared vestibules to ensure that in the event of a fire, the pressure on the stairs and vestibules is greater than that in public areas such as sidewalks, so that smoke does not enter the vestibule and stairs.

Through the above two points, we can clearly see the essential difference between stainless steel blower and pipe blower. Due to the essential difference between stainless steel (stainless steel and acid-resistant steel) fans and duct fans, stainless steel fans are usually installed at the end of the entire ventilation system, and duct fans are installed at the front end of the ventilation system. Duct fans, also known as positive pressure fans, create a pressure differential across the space. The pressure difference can be an allowable value or a pressure difference. The value standard of differential pressure is not uniform, and 50pA is often used as the value.
