The installation of centrifugal fans is a key step to ensure their normal operation and extend their service life. The following are things to pay attention to when installing centrifugal fans:
1. Foundation preparation
Foundation strength: Make sure the installation foundation is strong enough to withstand the weight of the fan and the vibration during operation.
Levelness: The foundation surface should be kept level and calibrated using a level to avoid unstable operation of the fan due to tilting.
Anchor bolts: The position and size of the embedded anchor bolts should meet the design requirements to ensure that the fan is firmly fixed.
2. Fan in place
Lifting safety: Use appropriate lifting equipment for lifting to ensure that the fan is placed stably to avoid collision or damage.
Alignment correction: The fan and motor shaft should be kept aligned, and a dial indicator or laser alignment instrument should be used for correction to avoid vibration and wear caused by misalignment.
3. Pipeline connection
Soft connection: Install a soft connection (such as a canvas soft connection) between the fan inlet and outlet and the pipeline to reduce vibration transmission and noise.
Pipeline support: Ensure that the pipeline has independent support to avoid applying weight directly to the fan.
Sealing: The connection should be well sealed to prevent air leakage or gas leakage, which will affect the performance of the fan.
4. Electrical connection
Motor wiring: Connect correctly according to the motor nameplate and electrical drawings to ensure that the power supply voltage is consistent with the rated voltage of the motor.
Grounding protection: The motor and fan housing should be reliably grounded to prevent the risk of leakage.
Control device: Install appropriate starting and protection devices (such as inverters, soft starters, etc.) to avoid motor overload or damage.
5. Debugging and trial operation
Manual cranking: Manually crank before starting to check whether the fan impeller rotates flexibly and without jamming.
No-load trial operation: First perform a no-load trial operation to check whether the fan vibration, noise and bearing temperature are normal.
Load trial operation: Gradually increase the load to observe whether the fan operating parameters (such as air volume, air pressure, current, etc.) meet the design requirements.
6. Safety and maintenance
Protective device: Install a protective cover to prevent people from contacting rotating parts.
Regular inspection: After running for a period of time, check whether the anchor bolts are loose and whether the bearings are well lubricated, and deal with abnormal situations in time.
7. Environmental factors
Ventilation and heat dissipation: Ensure that there is enough space around the fan for heat dissipation and maintenance.
Dust and moisture protection: If installed in a dusty or humid environment, protective measures should be taken to avoid affecting the performance of the fan.
Through the above precautions, the installation quality of the centrifugal fan can be ensured and its operating efficiency and reliability can be improved.
